The Waypost

A warm and unpretentious cafe, a good antidote to what is happening blocks away on Mississippi Ave. Great coffee (Stumptown), sweet vegan baked goods (which are still delicious as day-olds), and a hearty but limited food menu. The Waypost’s main asset is it’s regular series of “lectures” and movie screenings, an information exchange based on a monthly topic. For example, March 2007’s theme is philosophy and government. Folks are encouraged to get in touch with the Waypost to host a talk, and they don’t even have to be an expert on the subject.

AWESOME! Just had a sweet vegan burger with WHOLE slaw, it was the yummiest coffeeshop meal I've had in a long time, and it was totally affordable. Also, the coffee was OFF THE CHAIN.

I'm looking forward to going back and checking out the events. What a sweet secret place.

They ARE NEVER OPEN CONSISTENTLY!!!!!

I enjoy the people who work here. They make a pretty good coffee, but come on folks, i went by four times over the snowy holiday just to gewt out of the house, and low and behold they were not open when their hours said they would be.

I wish them well, but if you can't fix the issue, im off to other coffee options!~~~!!!

Hey, Charlie, are they inconsistent in their hours
1)just during Snowpocalypse (TM) or
2)all the time?

If it's the latter, then yeah, that sucks. If it's the former, c'mon, give 'em a break. A lot of places were closed during the snow, so to single out the Waypost is a bit unfair. (And this is coming from someone who had to work during the Snowpocalypse, no matter what!)
