This is a great place to see live music in Portland, maybe the best. It’s a small listening room, seats about 100 (so get tickets early). There’s a bar in the back and a big patio where they show silent movies in the summer. Stellar sound courtesy of owner Jim Brunberg, who also runs the recording studio upstairs. They bring in a good range of acts from solo singer-songwriters to rock bands, jazz, bluegrass etc. They’ve even had Ricki Lee Jones and David Grisman here, as well as people like John Wesley Harding, Chris Smither, Steve Forbert, Tracy Grammer, Shivaree, Dirty Martini, and Guy Davis.
