Little Red Bike Café

So Portlandy! This little place on your way to St. Johns serves up a twist on the standard breakfast/lunch dishes. Biking is more than just a vague theme here—there’s a bike pickup window, coffee delivered by bike, and meals such as “the paperboy” and “zoobomb” sandwich. Even better, the food is great, as are the coffee drinks. And they make all sorts of yummy things from scratch—ice cream, pastries, soups.

I had high hopes for this place. A lot of hype, cheap menu, fun blog. But it fell way below expectations. Service was short, the sandwich was too and the music was too loud. I say skip this place and head up the street to St Johns.

Well, 'there's always ONE' as they say. I couldn't disagree more with Biker's comment. The Little Red Bike Cafe is an Oasis on a quiet day and a treat on a busy one. The food is excellent, with many tastes only available here. And the food is reasonably priced. The ownerships' commitment to delivering the best in coffee drinks is realized at the LRBC. I say go and go often.

I can't get enough of this place! EVERYTHING they do comes from a place of "livin' the dream" which the owners profess they are doing. SOOO tastey! And creative. And unique. You can tell they love what they do, love the community, love sustainable practices. And did I mention the food is the BEST?! A foodie will feel at home here. A must-try!

Their VLT and a bottomless cup of Stumptown is the epitome of a perfect Sunday.
