It’s tough finding a truly decent tacqueria south of the Banfield Freeway (a.k.a. I-84) so when a decent one comes around it’s a big deal. Los Taquitos falls into the “decent” category—not bad if you’re in the area, but nothing that you should go more than a few miles for. It wasn’t always this way, but Taquitos is one of those joints that goes through different owners (and names) every two years. It was good before, okay now, and who knows? Maybe next year it’ll become “The Destination Tacqueria” and usurp La Serenita’s crown. Or maybe it will become horrible. But for now, not bad. (For the vegetarians, the refried beans supposedly contain lard, so make sure you order black beans.)
