Kennedy School

Opened in 1915 and closed due to disrepair in 1980, McMenamins renovated the school into an arty neighborhood hub with restaurant, 3 specialty bars, lodging ($$!), hot tubs, brewhouse and gym. Most locals know it for the budget theater/pub ($3 movies) with old couches and easy chairs. The building is fun to explore with lots of creepy art. Tasty beer & pizza, but the rest of the food is notoriously sub-par.
