Fairley's Pharmacy

The old-school independent drugstore, the type that contains a soda fountain, is a very endangered species in not only Portland, but the world. Many Portlandites fondly fetishised the pharmacy at NE 60th and Belmont (open transom, anyone?), but it recently closed. Fairley’s is one of the very few soda-fountain pharmacies left here, so if you want to get a Cherry Phosphate, make sure you head here. How long will it last? I don’t know, but now Fairley’s has Wi-Fi (???) and an espresso machine, so you can work on your laptop while sippin’ a root beer float or latte.
