Looking Glass Book Store

Despite being one of the oldest independent bookstore in town (in biz since the early ‘70s when it was a bastion of radical literature), for some reason Looking Glass is not well known. Is it because it was in a hidden corner of downtown? Or that it was too close to Borders? That should change now that it moved to the Sellwood neighborhood, an area lacking a book seller. You’ll find inside a good selection of lit and a helpful staff that will give you the attention you can’t get at McBorders. And there’s always an interesting event or reading going on. Support your independent bookstore!

Your selections for children's literature, fiction and non are fabulous! You have the latest and oldest, cream of the crop. Thank you for your fine taste. I'm adding your bookstore as a summer reading list destination for my students.
