Bipartisan Cafe

Are we really serious? A good coffee place only (gasp!) THREE BLOCKS FROM 82ND? THE AXIS OF ALL EVIL IN THE PORTLAND AREA? I mean, from outside Bipartisan you can…actually…see 82nd Avenue! Yes my friends, this is no typo. Located in the commerical heart of the Montavilla neighborhood, a land of little in the way of culinary pleasures, save Flying Pie, Ya Hala, and now this. Bipartisan is a good Portland coffeeshop that meets all the qualifications. Stumptown Coffee, good homemade pies, hardwood floors, big windows, an airy interior, and great staff. The presidential decorations (depicting most every president since there were presidents) may irk those “staunch radical anarchists” (who pro’lly won’t leave inner N/NE anyway), but where else can you find an actual circa 2000 Palm Beach County (Fla.) voting machine, with the infamous butterfly ballot? Bipartisan also gets extra points because nowhere in the name is “muddy”, “ground”, “grind”, or any other coffeeshop name cliches used.

82nd bashing is old and tired. get over it.
bi-partisan wonderful and only one of many great places on this side of town. come out of the mainly white hole of below 39th and discover the many other cultures that make up pdx.

Being overly sensitive about (admittedly) bad jokes on this website is old and tired. Get over it.
FYI, I am actually a resident of said neighborhood (and have done some time living quite near 82nd) so yes, I am aware of the "other cultures". And while stuff around 82nd might not be bad, the street itself is still a cancer that no renaming will remove.

any time a commentor uses the phrase "get over it" on the interweb, you know communication has broken down. Like someone telling you on the 'net to "get over it" is actually going to be taken open-mindedly

Wait, the interweb is supposed to be used for communication?
