Comfortably situated on the outskirts of the sometimes irritating Hawthorne District, Angelo’s offers $2 pint specials, free pool, buttrock jukebox (you know what we mean), pinball and friendly bartenders. Nate used to ride almost 90 blocks on a regular basis to frequent this bar, sometimes even through blistering summer heat or torrential downpours (and he doesn’t even have fenders on his bike!). But he got alcohol poisoning (not from Angelos, from his high school reunion…long story) and now has the straightedge, maybe.
