Sock Dreams

Are you a sock person? Maybe you don’t think you are. Maybe you are the type who regularly buys six-packs of plain white socks from chain department stores (or maybe you’ve graduated to black) and only buy new socks when they’re down to the last threads. And you don’t feel the need for buying frivolities like “fancy” socks. Well, Sock Dreams might just convert you. Located in an inconspicuous commercial space right at the east edge of the Ross Island Bridge (almost guaranteeing certain death if you try to get there by bicycle or foot), Sock Dreams is stuffed to the gills of all things socks. Socks of all types, colors, fabrics. Need wooly socks for the damp and cold rainy season? Something that’ll impress ‘em at your job interview? Or just want to make those feet look a li’l more…sexy? This is the spot. If you can walk out of here without buying one pair of socks, well then you’re a better person than I. Not a humongous selection of men’s socks, especially long socks (and sock manufacturers all still think men’s socks should end mid-calf). Solution: just buy women’s socks! They work fine, and no one will know the difference!

Hi, just wanted to note that we've now moved our store location to the heart of Sellwood at 8005 SE 13th Ave, right across Nehalem St. from Grand Central Bakery. It's not nearly as dangerous to walk or bike over there ;-P We've also expanded our hours from 11am-6pm, but we're closed on Mondays. You can also find us online at www.sockdreams.com, where we have a much larger selection of socks, tights, leggings, leg warmers, arm warmers, and all sorts of other accessories, and free shipping, which should reach local Portlanders in just about 48 hours!
