Portland’s oldest army-navy store, since 1947! It’s got most everything you need for clothing oneself and for urban expeditioning. I end up here quite often. It’s my favorite place for winter wear: all the hats, wooly socks, gloves, wool pants, and thermal underwear you can possibly need. Like most army-navy joints, there’s a bounty of surplus clothing items for cheap. Who knows what values lie in them there bins? And if Bush comes back to town, this is where you can pick up gas masks so you don’t get tear-gassed!
