Willamette Park and the West Bank bike path
This park (off SW Macadam) is great for river views. If you somehow have a canoe or other watercraft, you could launch it here. There is a paved multi-use path that runs through the park, connecting it to the Sellwood Bridge and the SW Industrial district. This trail is less “natural” than the OMSI-Springwater path on the east bank, as it passes through several apartment and business complexes (and can get quite choked with traffic at times). To access the trail is a bit tricky; the best way from downtown is to take the Waterfront Path south of the Hawthorne Bridge through the condominium nonsense and under the Marquam Bridge. Then continue on SW Moody Ave through the new highrise construction and find the trailhead near an espresso stand.
